A testifying Expert Witness and regular speaker on the challenges and solutions at the intersection of technology, security and privacy, Ms. Janalyn Schreiber, CIPM | CISSP, has nearly 25 years’ demonstrated expertise in building actionable data management programs for companies in the Healthcare/Life Sciences, Financial Services, Technology, Media, and Consumer Products/Retail sectors. She co-founded Data Privacy & Security (“DPS”) Advisors LLC with the mission and goal of helping clients realize business and cost benefit from integrating technology and customized workflows into managing privacy and protecting data in a rapidly evolving technology and regulatory landscape.
At DPS Advisors, Ms. Schreiber is retained to develop broad-based programs that help mitigate the pervasive feeling among her clients of “death by a thousand cuts” when it comes to global privacy and security compliance. She delivers tailored programs centered on the core requirements of all relevant global regulations, allowing rapid adaptation as regulations are amended or passed; and provides pragmatic strategies to help clients protect the trust of their customers, and mitigate financial and legal risks to their organization. Ms. Schreiber’s approach allows her clients to leverage the extensive documentation required for complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including Data Inventory (Article 30) initiatives, Privacy Impact Assessments, and Vendor Risk Management frameworks, to address the challenges posed by other prominent regulations, notably the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Previously, Ms. Schreiber was a Managing Director at Navigant Consulting, a Partner at Deloitte, and a Vice President at Xerox Global Services, a division of Xerox Corporation.
