Drew Concannon, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP
Drew Concannon is an attorney at Ford Motor Company where he focuses on advising at the intersection of technology, privacy, and the law.
Previously, he was a lead counsel with Meta where he advised the Research, Core Data Science, and New Product Experimentation teams on privacy legal matters. Before Meta, Drew was a senior leader at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence serving as a Deputy Chief Privacy and Civil Liberties Officer as well as the Chief Privacy and Civil Liberties Officer for the National Counterterrorism Center. In this capacity, he worked across the Intelligence Community to lead civil liberties and privacy efforts related to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, and on issues related to publicly available information, open source intelligence, and social media. Drew began his legal career as an associate attorney with Alston & Bird LLP and his professional career as an officer in the United States Army.
Drew received his BS from the United States Military Academy and his JD from American University. He is a Fellow of Information Privacy with the International Association of Privacy Professionals and a Data Privacy Law Fellow with the Strauss Center at The University of Texas at Austin.
