About the IAPP

Mathilde Canque joined Hitachi Systems Security in 2019 as a Privacy and Data Protection Analyst. Rapidly proving her expertise, Mathilde assumed the pivotal role of Data Protection Officer for the company in March 2021.

Hailing from the European Union, Mathilde fortified her knowledge through a robust academic background. She earned a master's degree in business law in France and further honed her skills with a Specialized master’s in management and protection of personal data from the Institut Supérieur de l'Électronique de Paris (ISEP) in 2019.

Diving into the nuances of international data protection, Mathilde explored the impact of the EU GDPR in Canada for her professional thesis. In October 2020, she earned the CIPP/C. Demonstrating her commitment to excellence, she achieved the ISO27701 Lead Implementer certification in May 2023.

Today, Mathilde stands as an accomplished privacy professional, playing a vital role in advancing internal privacy compliance. Her commitment extends beyond her workplace, as evidenced by her active involvement in the IAPP, showcasing her dedication to advancing the field of privacy.
