In her 4 June opening general session keynote, Shannon Vallor, Baillie Gifford Chair in the Ethics of Data and Artificial Intelligence at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, drew on a decade of expertise in the ethical design and use of AI to challenge the dominant narrative of AI supremacy and gave us ways to think about AI that reinvigorate our sense of human agency and possibility.
