Detailed Position Description:
The Regional Privacy Officer has responsibility for managing and overseeing any federal or state government investigations within the Division regarding privacy or security in collaboration with Tenet’s Information Privacy & Security Compliance Officer and Regulatory Counsel. He/she providesdaily direction to the Division facilities to ensure timely resolution of reported compliance issues. The Privacy Officer also provides oversight and management ofthe Compliance Committee Reporting process and the analysis and reporting of all reported matters to the Information Privacy & Security Compliance Officer.
The Regional Privacy Officer, is responsible for ensuring initial and ongoing privacy training to members of the Market’s workforce. This individual will also initiate and promote activities that foster privacy and security awareness and compliance. He/she performs initial and periodic privacy and security risk assessments and conducts ongoing audit activities in coordination with the organization’s other compliance and audit functions.
Additionally, the Regional Privacy Officer, has responsibility for collaborating with other departments, such as Legal Counsel, Accounting, IS, and Conifer to maintain organization compliance with federal and state laws regarding privacy, security, electronic transactions, and protection of confidential information. He/she also serves as liaison to regulatory and accrediting bodies for matters relating to privacy and security.
