Global Privacy Program Manager, Corning Inc., Remote

Reporting to Corning’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Global Privacy Program Manager will work closely with and receive direction and guidance from the Chief Compliance Officer and the Chief Privacy Officer to oversee the operational aspects of Corning’s global data privacy program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day execution of the global data privacy program and risk management process Implement and enforce the global data privacy program across all business units and functions Lead and manage the global data privacy team.
  • Execute a continuous improvement plan to support and advance Corning’s global data privacy program.
  • Serve as a strategic liaison to internal partners on privacy matters.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of the global data privacy program Identify data privacy risks and establish appropriate remediation plans.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the company on privacy matters; understand business problems and adopt a risk-based approach when advising; distill complex data privacy matters into clear, easy to understand practical recommendations.

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • At least five (5) years’ demonstrated experience of managing a global data privacy program within a large organization.
  • Recognized privacy certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, DCPP or equivalent In-depth knowledge of privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD etc.
  • Experience of working with privacy tools, such as One Trust Demonstrated passion for data privacy Effective understanding of IT concepts relevant to privacy Proficiency in leading and successfully executing large scale projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Work location:

Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC or Remote Position will require travel to meet with key stakeholders or businesses as required.

  • Salary: The salary range for this position is $139,958.00 - $192, 471.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors including but not limited to geographic locations, market demands, experience, training, and education.
