Zach Lieberman creates artwork with computer code, focusing on building experimental drawing and animation tools and using computation as a poetic medium. His performances and installations take human gesture as input and amplifies them in different ways: making drawings come to life, imagining what the voice might look like if we could see it, transforming people’s silhouettes into music.

Jer Thorp

Jer Thorp

Jer Thorp is an artist, writer and teacher recognized as one of the world’s foremost data artists and a leading voice for the ethical use of big data. He is best known for designing the algorithm to place the nearly 3,000 names on the 9/11 Memorial. He was the New York Times’ first data artist in residence, is a National Geographic Explorer, and in 2017 and 2018 served as the Innovator in Residence at the Library of Congress.
