About the IAPP

Sarah Engel is Director for AI at Capgemini, advising Life Sciences clients on innovation projects, in particular on AI strategy and AI governance. Before joining Capgemini in 2024, Sarah was EMEA Lead for Trustworthy AI at IBM. Sarah has co-published a book on scaling AI successfully and the role of trust, is a speaker and trainer in the field of GenAI and Trustworthy AI, and a member of the Advisory Board for a new study program “AI for society”. She currently pursues a PhD on Organizational AI Governance. Sarah combines deep technical understanding, including her studies in cognitive science (B.Sc.) and neuroinformatics (M.Sc.), with a strategic view and practical management methods.
