Meghan Purves
Meghan Purves is Managing Counsel, Head of Legal – Europe for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. She is based in London and is responsible for the provision of legal support to Capital Markets’ businesses in the region and is the Company Secretary for CIBC World Markets plc.
Meghan is dual qualified as a solicitor in Australia and England and Wales.
Prior to joining CIBC, Meghan worked for King & Wood Mallesons in Australia and Herbert Smith Freehills in London, focusing on structured debt, debt capital markets, and securitization. She spent time on secondment with Lloyds Bank supporting Treasury and with Standard Chartered Bank supporting Debt Capital Markets in Africa, Middle East, Europe, and South America. Before moving to London, Meghan acted in a pro bono role in Cambodia supporting the Civil Party Lawyers in the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
