Davide Borelli is a PhD in law and a Counsel at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he leads the Italian data and technology practice. With extensive international experience across various sectors, Davide specializes in complex legal and litigation matters related to data and technology across Europe.

Davide’s expertise includes managing regulatory inquiries and investigations, handling data incidents, implementing data protection programs across multiple jurisdictions, providing strategic guidance on AI, and ensuring product compliance with global data and technology regulations.

At Freshfields, Davide leads a dedicated team in Italy, offering specialised skills to help clients navigate the risks associated with data management, emerging technologies, and cyber threats.

Prior to joining Freshfields, Davide also worked in-house at leading companies such as X Corp, Meta, and Panasonic Healthcare Corporation, gaining valuable insights into the corporate landscape.

In addition to his legal practice, Davide regularly lectures at European universities on data and technology law matters.
