About the IAPP

Avishai is a dual-qualified (England and Wales and Israel) privacy lawyer. Avishai initially trained as a corporate and commercial lawyer at one of Israel’s top tier law firms. This experience gives him invaluable insights into the inner workings of some of the largest brand names in the world. Upon joining Asserson, Avishai used the knowledge and experience he amassed to establish and build the firm’s privacy practice. Within a short period of time Avishai has emerged as one of Israel’s top specialists on European data protection and privacy laws and regulations. 

Avishai advises some of Israel’s and the UK’s top tech players on all areas of data and privacy – planning, building and executing privacy programmes, conducting internal audits, and reporting to boards of directors on various matters relating to data and privacy. He is a retained adviser on data and privacy matters for one of the UK’s largest consultancy firms, and many companies draw on his unparalleled expertise to navigate the complex web of data protection regulation in the UK, and across Europe and the world more generally.

Avishai holds a CIPP/E qualification and currently serves as one of the IAPP’s Tel Aviv Chapter Co-Chairs.
