About the IAPP

Kulani is a qualified lawyer and data protection professional with experience in human rights, legal and corporate compliance practices. She has spent the last six years sharpening her knowledge and expertise in data protection, steering dialogues, policy, and frameworks with the ambition to build long-term responsible data practices.

She is currently the Director, Privacy Compliance for Telenor Asia, responsible for leading all facets of data governance, privacy risk management and compliance in the region. Kulani has been instrumental in building both data protection programmes and data strategies to ensure enterprise compliance. She actively engages and participates in regulatory consultations and dialogues to anticipate emerging regulatory changes, to meet the long-term needs of the industry.

She holds several global privacy certifications and is a passionate data protection professional – constantly strives to effect positive change, drive compliance forward and inspire privacy as a Responsible Business culture.
