Nicholas Schmidt, CIPP/US

Nicholas Schmidt was a research fellow in the IAPP Westin Research Center, focusing on a wide variety of projects at the intersection of law and technology. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and recent graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. With undergraduate degrees in computer science and psychology from Notre Dame, Nick’s work often takes an eye towards technical details and, occasionally, user psychology. Before law school, Nick was a software developer for Clarity Consulting (now part of Perficient) and a technical project manager at the Nielsen Company. He has experience with a wide diversity of technologies including the internet of things, web scraping, and data mining.
