Patricia Kosseim is Counsel in Osler's Privacy and Data Governance Group and Co-Leader of Osler’s AccessPrivacy platform, an integrated suite of information solutions, consulting services and thought leadership initiatives. Patricia served over a decade as Senior General Counsel and Director General at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where she was responsible for Legal Services, Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Research and Technology Analysis. Patricia also worked at Genome Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, where she developed and implemented national strategies for addressing ethical, legal and social implications of health research and genomics technologies. Patricia has taught part-time at the University of Ottawa and serves on the Board of Governors of The Ottawa Hospital and chairs the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
