Emily McReynolds
Emily is a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft Research where she enables ethical research and responsible innovation through end-to-end data strategy. She advises the Microsoft Technology & Research division on emerging policy issues likely to impact the business, including data collection/use/publishing, regulating AI/ML, and usable privacy and security. Prior to Microsoft she was the program director for the UW Tech Policy Lab. She researches and writes about policy for emerging technologies including implementation of AI ethics principles, driverless cars, and Toys That Listen. Emily went to law school planning to work on tech policy and previously taught people to use computers back when there were still floppy disks.
