Viviane Nóbrega Maldonado, CIPP/E
Viviane Nóbrega Maldonado is Of Counsel of Brazil and Portugal and Judge of São Paulo Court of Justice - TJSP (1993/2018). She holds a Master in Comparative Law (MCL) from Samford University (USA) and presented her thesis on “The Right to be Forgotten”. She also holds an MBA in International Relations from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in (Brasil) having presented her thesis in “The Swiss Banking Secrecy and the International Society”. Viviane’s post graduate work was in Civil Law from Escola Paulista da Magistratura (São Paulo School of Judges) and presented her thesis in “The right to Privacy and Public Persons”.
Viviane’s publishing experience includes; coordinator and author of the book "Comments to the GDPR", Ed. Thomson Reuters, 2018, and author of the book "Right to be Forgotten", Ed. Novo Século, 2017. She is also author of several academic articles published in Brazil and abroad and is a teacher in Data Protection and Digital Law at the level of executive education.
An idealizer and coordinator of the first event and first course on GDPR in Brazil, with 7 editions to date, Viviane has coordinated the first Privacy Summit Brazil (IBM) and is a Mentor of Legal Hackatons in Brazil and abroad.
