About the IAPP

Ope Akanbi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Professional Communication at Ryerson University. She is cross-appointed to the York/Ryerson Joint Graduate Program in Communication and Culture. She is an interdisciplinary scholar with a background in law and communication. She writes about the regulation of digital work, privacy and the political economy of digital media.
