About the IAPP

Willy Mikalef is a senior lawyer based in Bird & Bird’s Paris office specializing in data protection and telecom law. Willy advises some of the world's most technologically advanced organizations on all data protection issues, including international data transfers. Willy notably worked on the first binding corporate rules (BCR) approved after the entry into application of the GDPR and represented clients in the context of data protection litigation. With his telecom background, he also provides expert advice on data protection requirements which specifically apply in the electronic communications sector.
