Head, Homeland & Cyber Defense, Centre of Excellence for National Security

Benjamin Ang is Senior Fellow and Deputy Head of the Centre of Excellence for National Security, a policy research think tank in the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies at NTU, where he leads the Cyber and Homeland Defense policy research team, a team that researches and writes about digital issues including cyber conflict, cyber threats, information warfare, foreign interference, and hybrid threats, and is exploring national security issues in AI, space, quantum technology, and blockchain. He is also Co-Chief Data Officer (Policy) of AI Singapore. His background includes legal practice (litigation, intellectual property, technology advisory), technology management (CIO), technology consulting, and teaching data protection law – his qualifications include Law, MBA, and MS-MIS, and he was even a Certified Novell Netware Administrator back in the day.
