About the IAPP

Thomas Tzieropoulos is a Swiss lawyer with a postgraduate degree in International Trade Law and Economics. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and CIP Manager (CIPM) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He spent six years working as a legal adviser for public administrations on EU and EEA law in Brussels, with a focus on data protection and financial services, before joining Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice in Copenhagen in 2018.

 

Thomas has led large legal projects, worked and negotiated alongside public authorities and regulators as well as private clients, and is a specialist in boiling down complex issues into actionable advice. With a multidisciplinary background and interests reaching beyond purely legal questions, Thomas is always excited at the prospect of connecting technical and legal expertise with decision-making and strategy. 

 

In private, Thomas loves tennis, politics, has an eclectic taste in modern music and enjoys Nordic design above all else.
