Matthew Buckwell is an associate based in Squire Patton Boggs London office. Matthew advises on issues arising from the EU’s proposed reform of the regulatory framework for the electronic communications sector and the proposed e-privacy regulation. In particular, he counsels on how the updated legislation would apply in practice to both traditional telecommunication services and over-the-top services.
Matthew also instructs on compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and assists clients with the EU-US Privacy Shield, including self-certification requirements, data transfer agreements, onward transfer agreements and ongoing compliance.
