Brandon Pugh, CIPP/US

Brandon Pugh, CIPP/US, is the director of the R Street Institute’s Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats team. Brandon’s work focuses on data security and data privacy, managing the team’s work on a coalition effort to advocate for federal legislation. He also serves as an international law officer in the Army Reserve. Previously, he served in elected and appointed office, managed a cyberwarfare publication, and was legislative counsel for a state legislature, where he handled nearly all policy and legislation on cybersecurity, emerging technology and privacy for the office.
