About the IAPP

Kile Marks, CIPP/US and CIPT, is an associate at the law firm Reed Smith LLP in Washington, D.C. where he focuses his practice on data privacy and cyber security laws and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Prior to joining Reed Smith, Marks spent time in the consulting industry, in the non-profit sector, with the United States Senate, and with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Before starting his legal career, Marks was a Cryptologic Language Analyst for the United States Air Force.
