Katherine is a corporate and commercial lawyer who specializes in digital, technology and data protection law. In 2007, Katherine founded Sainty Law, a progressive commercial law firm with market-leading expertise in the digital economy.



A partner at Allens for many years, Katherine gained significant experience advising clients from major technology, internet and media companies as well as government departments and agencies. One of Katherine’s key strengths and areas of focus, in the highly regulated and fast changing technology and media industries, is her knowledge and ability to interpret legislation and its interaction with other laws and policies.



Katherine holds a Master of Laws, a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Finance. She is a member of the Law Council of Australia, Media and Communications Committee, and is a director of the International Association of Privacy Professionals ANZ.



Katherine delivers strategic, innovative and cost effective solutions for her clients by applying her strong commercial expertise, extensive industry experience, sophisticated project management techniques and broad regulatory skills. She has been recognized in Chambers Global, The World’s Leading Lawyers, as pre-eminent in her field.



Katherine is a frequent commentator on current commercial and regulatory issues, most recently on digital industries, privacy, data protection and cyber resilience issues.
