About the IAPP

Katharina started her career in the Advertising, Technology and Media practice of Reed Smith LLP in Munich where she developed extensive experience in new and old media, as well as in the international data protection circus. Katharina joined Fieldfisher's team in Munich in 2018 where she continues to advise her clients in data protection, media and life sciences matters.

Katharina advises on every kind of data protection matters, in particular international data transfer situations, Big Data solutions, notification projects, digital media data collections, but also works council negotiations and support of data protection officers. She supplements this focus with projects relating to cyber security that often go hand-in-hand with the data protection matters, as well as with IT law and software expertise. 

Life Sciences and in particular connected health are also important drivers of Katharina's experience, having advised on remote patient care networks, patient monitoring devices and the related data protection implications. In addition to this specific intersection, her practice also encompasses clinical trials, research and development agreements, and guidance on health care advertising, inter alia.
