About the IAPP

Chris is currently the Director of Information Access and Privacy Assessments at Alberta Health Services (AHS).  He has been directly involved in the information access and privacy field for over eight years; with a breadth of work ranging from managing information access requests on high profile topics of public interest, corrections to personal information, and now supporting work on the privacy impact assessment for AHS’ new electronic health record system under development – Connect Care.   

 

Chris has over 20 years of public service experience.  Prior to joining AHS, Chris worked for a number of Alberta and federal government ministries – including Global Affairs Canada, Alberta Economic Development, Alberta Environment, Alberta Justice and Solicitor General, and most recently, Alberta Executive Council.
