About the IAPP

Ariel Brio is Director, Privacy & Data Counsel at Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, California and focuses on developing privacy programs, product counseling, and transactional privacy issues in interactive and digital entertainment and across the PlayStation brand, products, and services. Ariel also worked in privacy at Roku, Rosetta Stone, and in private practice.

In a previous career, Ariel worked in technology consulting and in government service. Ariel supported the military and intelligence services with technology and R&D strategy, intelligence analysis, and cybersecurity as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, served as an Intelligence Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency, and a cyberinfrastrusture analyst at the National Science Foundation.

Ariel earned his bachelor and master’s degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law.
