Shivangi Nadkarni has over 25 years of experience in the areas of Networks & Information Risk with a special focus on Data Privacy for the last decade. Shivangi is the Co-founder & CEO of Arrka, a company specialized in operationalising Data Privacy in Organizations and having built India’s first and only Privacy Management Platform.

 

Amongst the first few to get an IAPP certification from India back in 2011, Shivangi has been actively contributing to the Data Privacy domain in the country. She has authored the first textbook on Data Privacy in India for the Data Security Council of India for their DCPP certification. Arrka has worked with some of India’s largest Banks and Enterprises helping them implement their Privacy Programs. The company also has a special focus on Small & Mid-Sized Organizations, empowering them to implement & manage their Privacy & Security programs via the Arrka Privacy Management Platform.



Shivangi has been instrumental in setting up the Arrka Privacy Testing Lab. The Lab, amongst other things, publishes an annual ‘State of Privacy of Indian Mobile Apps & Websites’ report. With five editions thus far, the report provides one of the few data points on the state of Privacy in India.
