Lourdes M. Turrecha, Esq. is a California-licensed attorney, privacy and trust strategist, and tech enthusiast, with 6+ years of combined experience in privacy, law, and compliance. Turrecha is a founding member of MGM Resorts International's Privacy Office where she serves as the Fortune 300 company's second highest ranking privacy official. Turrecha also consulted for TeachPrivacy LLC, worked in-house at Abt Associates Inc., and began her legal career at boutique law firms in Washington, DC.



In addition to serving on the IAPP Publications Advisory Board, Turrecha is one of the founding chairs of the IAPP Las Vegas chapter. She also sits on the Future of Privacy Forum's Location Privacy Working Group, which publishes guidance on beacons, location ad targeting, and ad technologies best practices.



Turrecha earned her law degree from The George Washington University Law School and both her political science bachelor's degree and legal studies minor from George Mason University. She was also a visiting student at the University of Oxford, where she studied philosophy, legal theory, and comparative US & UK law.
