About the IAPP

Traci Canning is SVP/Managing Director for First Advantage Europe with leadership responsibility for the EMEA region, including operations, technology and compliance with global regulatory and privacy requirements.



Canning has more than 12 years in risk management services, including five years in Europe where she served in general management roles with oversight of teams in EMEA and Asia Pacific. Before joining the risk management services industry, Canning's experience includes product management and strategic development for technology and SaaS companies, marketing expertise, and executive management in the publishing industry.



Canning has written extensively on global screening and has been published in trade and news journals worldwide. She serves on the Publications Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E, CIPP/US and CIPPT) and holds a master's degree in communications.
