About the IAPP

David Fewer is Staff Counsel with CIPPIC, the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic, at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. CIPPIC, Canada's only technology law clinic, advocates on behalf of the public interest for balance in policy and law-making on issues arising out of new technologies. Mr. Fewer trains students in effective legal advocacy, produces relevant public education documents, and participates in the government policy development and law-making processes. Mr. Fewer has taught and written extensively on intellectual property and technology law, and frequently appears in court on such issues.
