About the IAPP

Philip is HERE Technologies´ Global Privacy Counsel. In this role, Philip oversees all Privacy legal matters and processes and advises on all aspects of European and international Privacy law. He provides strategic guidance to key executives, advises managers, product and program owners, as well as other business stakeholders. Moreover, Philip helps creating and implementing innovative data driven business models in the areas of smart mobility, connected and autonomous vehicles, drones and the Internet of Things.

Philip has exclusively practiced in the area of Privacy and Data Protection since 2009, predominantly as in-house lawyer with top-tier technology multinationals. Prior to joining HERE Technologies, he worked as Data Privacy Lead Counsel for the CEMEA-Region (Central Europe, Middle East and Africa) at Siemens Healthcare. Philip is a German-qualified lawyer, a Doctor of Laws in European Data Protection Law, a Certified Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Risk Manager and holds specialist Data Protection and Information Privacy credentials (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPP/US).
