About the IAPP

Jason Woywada has three decades of combined knowledge, experience and skills in journalism, management, and politics. This is his second year as FIPA’s Executive Director. He has a recent Master of Business Administration, a Journalism diploma, two privacy certifications through the IAPP (CIPP/C, CIPM) and is currently studying for PROSCI Certification. Prior to this, he worked for the BC government drafting Report on the Administration of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for 2017/18 and 2018/19. A decade of his career was spent managing the government caucus in Manitoba under Premiers Gary Doer and Greg Selinger.
