Peder Magee
Peder Magee is a senior attorney in the FTC’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection and works on a variety of policy and litigation matters, including online behavioral advertising, COPPA, and the Internet of Things. Peder is the principal author of the March 2012 FTC Report, Protecting Consumer Privacy in an Era of Rapid Change, which sets forth the Commission’s new privacy framework. He is also the principal author of the staff report on the FTC’s self-regulatory principles for online behavioral advertising. From September 2015 to November 2016, Peder was on detail with the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee. Peder received his J.D. from George Washington University and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
