About the IAPP

Jane Carpenter is founder of Maine Identity Services, LLC, which provides assistance to data breach and identity theft victims and trains police departments in identity theft response. A veteran of the Maine Attorney General's Office where she assisted hundreds of identity theft victims and police, she has served as an instructor for the Maine Criminal Justice Academy's identity theft workshop and is responsible for initiating laws that currently assist identity theft victims in her state. The author of the Identity Theft Help Kit and the Breach Repair Kit, she is a popular speaker on the subject and frequently responds to questions about identity theft from members of police organizations.
