An expert in data strategies, Privacy, Data Protection, and Information Rights, he uniquely combines this with experience in business leadership, strategy, policy, and press management.
Before founding the Privacy Practice James created the BBC’s Information Policy and Compliance team to oversee the Corporation’s processes in Freedom of Information and Data Protection and successfully led it for over ten years. Before joining the BBC’s legal section, he was a programme maker and spent much of his time in political journalism.
He advises a very wide range of industries including media, AdTech, Gaming, pharmaceuticals, banking and insurance, social media, and online services.
