Ryan Hammer, CIPP/E, CIPP/G, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, FIP
Ryan is the Senior Director of Security & Risk for Asurion, a global technology protection and support company. There he leads and manages a team that delivers a set of global enterprise security and data protection services to safeguard business operations, technology, and the personal information of over 305 million subscribers. He is also adjunct faculty for Purdue University (Indianapolis campus), where he has been teaching courses in information security, technology, and cryptography for 8+ years. He has extensive experience building security, risk, compliance, and privacy programs across the financial, insurance, and industrial sectors. Professional interests include the intersection of IoT, security, and privacy, product development, early-stage startups, and Privacy by Design. Ryan holds BS degrees in Computer Science and History from Northern Illinois University and MS degrees in Information Assurance and Security Management from Capital Technical University and Towson University. He lives south of Nashville with his wife and three young children.
