Lauren James
Lauren James is currently serving at the Consumer Privacy Officer at Goldman Sachs in New York City. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, she spent three years at Thomson Reuters as a Privacy Officer, focused on global privacy issues from their New York and London offices. She also worked in Washington, DC as a Federal Policy Associate for American Electric Power, where she helped the utility company navigate and influence federal privacy initiatives relating to customer energy usage data. Earlier in her career, she was an associate at the Washington, DC-based boutique law firm of Wittie, Letsche & Waldo LLP, assisting health IT clients with their legal and policy needs. She received both her Bachelor’s and her Juris Doctorate degrees from The Ohio State University.
