Elvis Stumbergs, CIPP/E, CIPP/US
Elvis Stumbergs, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, is Counsel at Sprint, in its Office of Privacy. His practice consists of advising the communications company on matters related to the use and protection of customer and employee information across Sprint’s brands and global business units. Elvis’ portfolio includes providing privacy-related guidance on regulatory compliance matters, counseling the business on best practices, negotiating privacy provisions in vendor/partner agreements, and leading investigations of privacy-impacting events. He specifically focuses on issues such as big data analytics, ad tech, international/EU regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things.
Elvis began his legal career as an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C. He has since practiced privacy, telecommunications and media regulatory, and antitrust law at large and boutique law firms in Washington, D.C., before joining Sprint and relocating to Los Angeles. He is a graduate of UCLA School of Law, and received his B.A. from UCLA.
