About the IAPP

Oran is the head of European privacy and European DPO at Paramount. He leads on all European data protection and privacy matters, providing creative compliance advice and solutions for Paramount's iconic studios, networks, and streaming products. He provides subject matter expertise on employee privacy, adtech, and the relationship between media law and data protection.

Previously, Oran was Senior Data Protection Advisor in Bird & Bird’s Privacy and Data Protection Practice in London where he advised on all aspects of data protection law, and supported clients in different industries, including media and entertainment, financial services, and e-commerce. He established and led the global privacy team at Sterling – a global leader in pre-employment background screening – and was also the lead UK legal researcher at the Court of Justice of the European Union, advising the EU justices on various aspects of UK law.

Oran is a solicitor (England and Wales) and holds law degrees from the University of Cambridge, l’Université Paris 2 (Panthéon-Assas), and an LLM from the College of Europe.
