About the IAPP

Irene is attorney-at-law admitted to the Athens Bar Association, and researcher at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) in the Netherlands. She is also affiliate researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (LSTS). Irene is specialized in standardization and certification, especially in relation to data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity. In 2019, she was the first author of a study conducted on behalf of the European Commission on GDPR certification.
