Ben Rossen, CIPP/US

Ben Rossen is Associate General Counsel and Head of Policy Legal at OpenAI. Ben leads global legal analysis of emerging AI legislation and regulatory frameworks, guiding OpenAI's strategy on the regulation of frontier models, copyright and intellectual property policy, and the establishment of international AI standards. He also advises on internal governance structures designed to ensure the responsible deployment of OpenAI's models and products.
Before joining OpenAI, Ben served as a senior attorney and advisor in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection and at the Energy & Commerce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He previously practiced litigation at several prominent law firms.
