Senior Managing Counsel, Privacy and Data Protection

Elise is Associate General Counsel for privacy and cybersecurity matters at Fannie Mae. She acts as the primary advisor to the company’s Privacy and Information Security business divisions developing relevant policy, procedure and training material concerning compliance with relevant state, federal, and international data protection regulations; and counseling on data breach event response, insider threat management, regulatory oversight, emerging technologies, nondisclosure agreements, and other privacy and data security matters.  In her prior role with the company, Elise counseled clients on federal system of records management, regulatory compliance, organizational and personal conflicts of interest, and third-party vendor management matters.  After completing her bachelor of arts studies in English at Johns Hopkins University, Elise received her juris doctor from George Washington University Law School.  She is admitted to the bars of the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and is a CIPP.
