About the IAPP

Bal is a privacy and compliance professional working at RBC for 10 years. As the Director of the Global Privacy Program, Bal is accountable for ensuring the continuous evolution of the Global Privacy Program by demonstrating compliance with PIPEDA, GDPR and other significant new legislative and regulatory developments.

Bal has held a variety of risk management roles during her career supporting a variety of platforms including Canadian Banking, Wealth Management and Capital Markets; including the management of Control Room operations at a major Canadian and US Bank. She holds a bachelor of Economics Specialist degree from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
