About the IAPP

Ariel Conrad is a lawyer (admitted to the Philippine bar in 2022) and privacy professional with over 9 years of experience in international privacy and data protection practice.

He is currently the Manager for Global Legal, Privacy and Compliance at Teleperformance Group tasked with key aspects of privacy operations, regulatory compliance and execution of the company’s privacy policy and privacy program, including compliance in relation to its binding corporate rules under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with other privacy legislation where the business operates.

Prior to joining Teleperformance, he was the Lead Technical Analyst for the Global Privacy Solutions team at TrustArc (formerly TRUSTe) mostly doing mobile, IOT (internet-of-things), web and software privacy and security auditing across a wide range of clients operating in different sectors.

He is certified in US Private Sector Privacy Law (CIPP/US), European Privacy Law (CIPP/E), Information Privacy Technology (CIPT), Privacy Program Management (CIPM) and has been designated as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He is also certified in Information Technology Service Management (ITIL) by Axelos.

He was also a participant in various public consultations from the Philippine government such as the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the Philippine Identification Systems Act of 2018. He also actively participates as a resource speaker for privacy and data protection.
