About the IAPP

Ann Waldo provides privacy consulting and legal counsel through Waldo and Associates and is the outside Chief Privacy Officer for Lenovo, the maker of ThinkPads. She was formerly the CPO of Lenovo and of Hoffmann-La Roche. A CIPP, she is Co-Chair of the IAPP International KnowledgeLink and is active in the Carolina Privacy Officers Network andAPEC. Previously, she was involved with the International Pharmaceuticals Privacy Consortium, worked in Public Policy at GlaxoSmithKline, served as IBM e-business counsel, and did commercial litigation and legislative staffing. She graduated from UNC Law School with high honors in 1995.
