About the IAPP

Chantal Bernier is Co-chair of Dentons’ Global Privacy and Cybersecurity Group as well as a member of the Canadian Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group. She joined Dentons after nearly six years at the helm of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC), 

She is also Chair of Statistics Canada Advisory Council on Ethics and Modernization of Microdata Access, Member of the Standards Council of Canada Steering Committee on AI and Data Governance, Member of the Public Safety Canada Advisory Group on Transparency in National Security and Privacy Practitioner in Residence at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa.
