About the IAPP

Kaei Ro is a senior associate at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, admitted both in Japan and California. Her practice focuses on the areas of telecommunications (ICT), privacy, IT/digital, and intellectual property. At the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), she worked on the revision of the Telecommunications Business Act, as well as the formulation of related guidelines, and enforcement. She is well versed in the handling of user information in the telecommunications business field, including secrecy of communications and personal information. She authored various books and articles regarding her professionalism.
