About the IAPP

Abhi Sharma is the CEO & Co-Founder of Relyance AI (an ML-based platform rethinking the approach to privacy and data governance from the code up). He is a 2X tech entrepreneur, and software engineer specializing in compilers, machine learning, and large-scale distributed systems. Before Relyance AI – Abhi started his journey at AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco) and was the founding member of FogHorn Systems (acquired by Johnson Controls). As the Technologist in Residence at Unusual Ventures, he actively explored how extreme domain specialization was slowing down the speed of innovation and progress in society – while also realizing how technology can help solve challenging problems at the intersection of domains. Abhi used these insights to co-found Relyance AI and bring a deep technology-first approach to building the trust and governance infrastructure for the internet using AI and ML.
