Policy Analyst

Sergi Gálvez Duran is a digital policy analyst at the OECD’s Data Flows, Governance and Privacy Division. His work focuses on assessing the impact of emerging technologies through the lens of privacy and data governance, and exploring policy options to address the challenges these technologies present. He currently leads the coordination and research efforts for the OECD.AI Expert Group on AI, Data, and Privacy. 

Before joining the OECD, he practiced as a privacy and technology lawyer and conducted research on algorithmic decision-making at the NYU Information Law Institute and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. Sergi holds an LL.M. from NYU and a Ph.D. in Law from ESADE Law School, where his thesis focused on the interplay between artificial intelligence and data protection law.
